Völkl's new Blaze range is targeted at freeride enthusiasts who wish to have a single, user-friendly ski for both resort and backcountry conditions. Despite its middle-of-the-road waist width, this ski was found to be the floatiest in the category because to its multi-layer wood core that extends into the tip and tail and its "Suspension Tips" elastomer tip inlay. Because of its apparent buoyancy, the Blaze 94 excelled in Taos's milder conditions, but several skiers discovered it could also handle all other conditions.
