The Marker Phoenix MAP Carbon ski
helmet uses a special protective material MAP (Marker
development). Segments of 360° MAP material located in critical areas
around the head are able to protect up to 22% more effectively than
conventional helmets with an EPS-only liner. Innovative material that
almost instantly returns to its original shape to protect against multiple
direct impacts during a crash. The MAP pads also make the helmet more
comfortable to wear. The top layer of carbon not only makes the helmet
lighter, but also protects more effectively than commonly used polycarbonate.
